Duck, Hooded Merganser

Hi Tammy,

Sun Day Greetings is a small boutique greeting card line run by me and my husband. We have been operating the line for about six years. The line is based on my photography and until recently was exclusively comprised of my photographs. Recently, we started using other photographer's work as well.

I saw your photo "Hooded Merganser" on the SmugMug website. We would be interested in considering using this photograph on a greeting card. It will involve posting the image to a private website and allowing our writers to try to come up with verse that suits it. Twice a year, we select cards based on the images and verses selected. We usually pay photographers $75 for the non-exclusive use of a single image, and $50 each for multiple images.. At this time, we would like your permission to post your image on our private website for our writers to view.

Again, we do not ask for or want any exclusive rights, so you are free to use it or sell it elsewhere. If selected, you will get full credit for the image and I will put any information you want on the back of the card. Also, we'll send you card samples.

If selected we would also appreciate a high-resolution version of the image as soon as possible. On several occasions, we went through this process only to have the photographer be unable to locate a high resolution image right before the printing process. So it is advantageous in the selection process if we already have access to a high resolution image. Note, though that it will not be posted at all.
